“The primary purpose of meditation is to become conscious and familiar with our inner life.”
– Nasargadatta Maharaj
How I Teach
Breath is the source of life itself. Yoga and mediation follow.
We start here, focusing on quality of breath as our foundational practice.
We surrender, allow, and let go into the beauty of breath, energy, asana and meditation.
This builds direct communication and intelligence with your system. I share teachings and wisdom from
Tantra, Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Kriya, Buddhism, Taoism and various styles of meditation and breath-work.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's a private session like?
We focus 1 to 1 on helping you transform and as quick and gracefully as possible. The deepest transformation usually comes in privates sessions because you get to ask what you need. You see faster results and go deeper.
Sessions are long as you need it to be. Typically 1-1.5 hours.
Offered in the setting of your own home or at the studio. I will tailor a Yoga program to suit your specific needs in areas you want to focus. Ongoing assessment and adjustments will be made to ensure your optimum physical health and emotional well-being.
What's special about your vinyasa slow flow classes?
Vinyasa is linking your breath with movement. It creates a beautiful flow from one pose to the next. It also maximized the benefits of everything we do. I teach Vinyasa Slo Flo. This is where we focus the beauty of breath paying attention to what it offers our practice.
Vinyasa is a dynamic moving practice where we will move slow enough for you to deepen into the pose while still feeling the beauty of a flow yoga practice. I emphasize finding the rhythm of your own practice, so typically I teach without music. I encourage you to fall in love with the feel and meditation sound of your own breath.
Are you available for Retreats, Workshops & Trainings?
I thrive in retreats, workshops, and trainings. The level of depth we can go is amplified by the container of the retreat and the space that is being cultivated by the group.
I have years of experience teaching, assisting and running Yoga Teacher Trainings internationally.
Why is breath so important?
- Moves energy all throughout our body
- Stimulates our vital organs to work better and calms the nervous system
- It’s the bridge between our conscious and unconscious movement.
* Book a session or take a class with me and you will experience for yourself.
I'm a beginner. Can I take a class or private session with you?
Privates from the start will assure you start off on the right foot and build a solid foundation in yoga that will be most beneficial for you. It’s never to early to start with private sessions. In fact you may find that you have been doing yoga already in one of it’s various forms.
Do you lead a private or corporate group?
Yes, yoga is for everybody. It is especially beneficial in business or high stress environment to relax the mind, open the body and connect you to your heart. It’s great for building team spirit and enhances productivity. I recommend Yoga for all offices.
I will design a unique Yoga program specifically for you and your group needs. Typically we aim to release stress, increase physical health, stimulate emotional well being, nurture team connectedness.
Yoga can be offered in your office, boardroom or even if you work from home.
Why do you teach about energy and alignment?
Each asana (posture) is an exploration of sacred geometry in Yoga. When you mindfully put your body in specific yoga shapes, energy moves in beneficial ways. With proper inner and outer alignment you activate your Nadis (energy channels) and recharge your Chakras (energy centers). This increases, stabilizes and harmonizes the Prana (energy) in your systems.
When your mental, alignment, and energy systems are synchronized, you maximize possibility that yoga brings to you. You release old energetic patterns and gain deeper insight.
It’s important to be safe while still maximizing the positive impact that Yoga makes.
Why do you teach Ashtanga Yoga? What is it?
I teach Ashtanga in a slow flow with grace and devotion. I teach by focusing on what has made the largest impact in my own practice.
Throughout the practice, I emphasize the breath, energy movement, and point of concentration.
Traditionally Ashtanga Vinyasa was popularized and taught by Sri K Patthabi Jois in Mysore, India. Ashtanga is a Vinyasa Yoga system in which the asanas (body postures) are synchronized with ujjayi (breath), while gently holding drishti (eye gaze) and charged by bandhas (internal energy locks). Through Ashtanga’s intense sequence, the physical body is intensely purified and strengthened while keeping a deep state of meditation and focus. The result is often one of detoxification, deep peace and relaxation.
Ashtanga means 8 limbed path -> Ashta (eight) + Anga (limb) = 8 limbs. The primary series of Ashtanga Yoga is called “yoga chikitsa” which means “yoga therapy”.
Over 2,000 years ago, the Ancient Indian Sage Patanjali is well known for gathering centuries of information into one system in the Yoga Sutras. It’s designed to help beings evolve towards deeper inner peace by following eight practical steps: yama (moral discipline), niyama (self observance), asana (yoga posture), pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (sense withdrawal), dharana (deep concentration), dhyana (meditation) and finally uniting all parts of our being in samadhi (self realization/bliss).
What do I need to bring?
…And your yoga mat or meditation cushion.
Is yoga healthy? Will it help me feel better?
Yoga Therapy is rapidly growing in the Western World for it’s amazing results and ability to help people heal themselves.
It’s important to listen to your own body and communicate what your needs and injuries are. Yoga is about listening, not about pushing yourself. This is usually when people get hurt.
As the mind relaxes, the body will open naturally and become more flexible with time.
What is your Hatha Yoga class like?
I haven't done yoga or exercise in a long time. Can I participate?
It’s one of the best things you can do to help with your spine and neck. I encourage you to listen to your own body and what it needs. It’s usually best to easy your body into the practice and build up strength instead of pushing your limits.
Yoga is a holistic practice and you will receive the most benefit by taking it on in this way. It’s wise to continue to see your doctor and follow up with traditional check ups.
